• Will you remove wallpaper before painting?
Wallpaper removal is for one layer only. There will be additional charges for each subsequent layer.
• How many coats of paint do you use? for ceilings and walls?
Two coats for ceilings and walls and one coat for trim.
• What type of finish will the paint have?
Ceilings are painted with a flat finish, walls will have a satin finish, and trim will have a semi-gloss finish.
• What steps do we follow for a successful exterior paint job?
1. House should be pressure washed completely including brick and wood.
2. Prepped (putty & caulked) sanded & spot primed where needed.
3. Paint complete (2 coats on new Hardi Plank areas).
4. Sherwin Williams Super Paint satin finish to be used.
5. Color to be chosen by woner to match existing.
6. All chemicals used in pressure washing of house are non-toxic and environmetally friendly.
7. All plants and miscellaneous items are to be moved and covered when painting or spraying.
8. All steel lintels to be sanded, spot primed where needed and painted with industrial grade iron clad enamel.
• What steps do we follow for a successful interior paint job?
1. Sherwin Williams Super Paint to be used.
2. Color chosen by homeowner.
3. All cracks, nail holes, water spots and scratches will be repaired.
4. All furniture, fixtures, floors, windows, etc. will be covered.
5. Remove, clean or cover electrical switches.
6. Apply caulking as needed.
7. Apply kilz primer as needed before painting.
• Do you always have to prime the surface?
No it is not always necessary to prime a surface. Often, if you are repainting and it has a good surface you need only add 2 topcoats.
